# Account / License

Manage sign-in, device approval, and license status in plain language.

Account states (what you’ll see)

  • Signed out: prompts to sign in; features that need an account stay hidden.
  • Signed in: access to licensed features based on your plan/seat.
  • Approval needed: device not trusted yet; complete approval to proceed.

License states (common messages)

  • Active: you’re good to go; features stay enabled.
  • Seat unavailable: all seats in use; free one or contact your admin.
  • Expired or grace: renew or update billing to restore full access.
  • Offline: temporary offline mode may limit license checks; reconnect to refresh.

How to sign in

  1. Open the Control Center and choose Account.
  2. Follow the sign-in prompt; approve the device if asked.
  3. Confirm the account and license status indicator shows active.

Device approval

  • If prompted, approve the current device to trust it for future sessions.
  • If approval fails, retry after checking network or try another trusted device.

Common fixes

  • Seat errors: sign out on an unused machine or ask admin to free a seat.
  • Expired/grace: renew license, then refresh in the Account view.
  • Offline: reconnect and refresh to revalidate the license.
